Gayot Rating System their 20-point rating scale developed from the system that launched Nouvelle Cuisine in the early 1970s and resembles the grading range used for students in France. They focus on the quality of the food, while reserving our analysis of the décor, service and ambiance for the establishment's review.

Zagat: This is the best guide we have found because it doesn’t have a company attitude. No, Tim and Nina Zagat don’t vote, nor does anyone in their company. This guide is a real honest democracy (so they say). "We" have the voting power with no veto by them. If you don’t agree you have the opportunity to cast your vote, and should. So, why are we telling you this when we have our own guide. The reason is Zagat covers the entire world, and many places we have yet to visit. We rank restaurants, resorts, hotels and shopping based on our personal experiences, so perhaps we do have an attitude. The opinions contained on this web site and in our publications are our personal opinions along with our friends and associates. We report the “best of the best”.  Fleur de Lys Las Vegas! The MrFiveStar team has awarded this restaurant the “Most Romantic Restaurant in the World” October 6, 2007. Pierre Wolfe and Ron Crider (MrFivestar) informed Chef Owner Hubert Keller of this award during a radio interview.

Yes, that is true! What an interesting marriage? Personally I think it’s a great idea, at least for the Ritz Carlton at Bachelor Gulch. You see, as far as I am concerned they never really were able to get their previous restaurant together. There was seldom any consistency in the food and the service frequently was terrible. I will say this, it was slowly getting better, but never up to the par one would expect from the Ritz people. This is not just a onetime occurrence; I understand Norman Van Aken will be setting up shop at one of the Florida properties and Eric Ripert is doing the same in the northeast.
