 The Kasbah Tamadot is the Moroccan retreat of Sir Richard Branson. During a trip in Marrakech in 1998, Richard Branson and his mother fall in love with the Palace: The Kasbah would be a perfect addition to M. Branson's unique portofolio of properties "Limited Edition by Virgin". During the renovation, the concept was to marry Moroccan colours, textures and patterns with a more contemporary treatment to the interior architecture. The contrast between old and new, bright and muted colours, craft and technology, provide a counterpoint that singles out the Kasbah Tamadot as being unique and stylish. Installation : The Kasbah Tamadot offers 6 Superior rooms, 5 Junior suites and 6 Deluxe suites. Each room has its own particular style, conceived according to its original aspect. The result is a selection of art creations, wooden ceilings, ancien chests and an assortment of everyday bric à brac. Guests can enjoy the House's Spa, Hammam and swimming pool. As for the whole site, it is composed of an beautiful garden containing specimen fruit trees, a collection of cati and a rambling rose garden. In the restaurant, South African Chef Jean Mundell will mix local specialties and international cuisine. The cellar will be very well stocked with fabulous wines and champagnes. Situation : The Kasbah Tamadot is about 45 minutes drive from Marrakech airport and 54 kms from the city center. You will find the Kasbah on the road from Asni to Imlil. The Kasbah Tamadot is a magical walled construction set on the side of the rolling hills of the High Atlas Mountains. From there you will enjoy stunning views; to the north extends a steep river valley, with sheer rocky limestone and forested mountains on either side, in contrast to the view of the breathtaking snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains on the southern side. To the east, across the river, you can see a traditional Berber village built into the side of the mountain, and so in keeping with the landscape.
