Wild Sage Executive Chef Jeffrey Blackwell Jeff joined the team at the Rusty Parrot Lodge and Spa in the fall of 2005, taking on the Executive Chef responsibilities at the AAA Four-Diamond Wild Sage restaurant. Jeff exercises his creativity with his American cuisine in Wild Sage's intimate 26 seat restaurant in Jackson Hole. His focus is on organically grown products, local produce and meats, and sustainable fish and proteins. At an early age, Blackwell cultivated a unique appreciation for fresh harvests from the sea as he learned to tong for oysters and trot-line for Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab on Maryland's inland bays and salt-marshes. Financing his way through college, Jeff found a job as an entry-level line cook at the Greenhill Yacht and Country Club. Jeff's interest in the culinary arts blossomed under the leadership of the Club's chefs whose specialties ranged from Classic French and Thai to Cajun cuisine. After seven years of rigorous training, Jeff Blackwell's developing talents were rewarded when he was promoted to Executive Chef.

The Wild Sage Restaurant at the Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa is one of two restaurants in Wyoming and Montana to earn the prestigious AAA Four Diamond designation. The 26-seat Wild Sage Restaurant offers exceptional regional cuisine, as well as fresh seafood. Dinner is served in full view of our exhibition-style kitchen in the Rusty Parrot Lodge's gathering room with its river rock fireplace. The restaurant has recently been featured on the Food Network, in the New York Times, Elle Décor, the Chicago Sun Times, Cowboys and Indians magazine, and USA Today.
