 This restaurant certainly has its critics. Many call it a tourist trap, many love it, but we who have been coming here for the past 50 years simply can’t get enough of it. This is not a place to go every night, but a great place to celebrate something even if it’s just celebrating being back. The Molokai bar is unlike any you have ever been in. It’s like an old ship under water. There is a rich highly polished bar shaped like a ship. The there are the windows that make you feel you are under water or it’s raining all the time. The drinks can be anything you want but their specialty; south seas drinks are the best anywhere east of Hawaii. Try the Navy Grog or the Barrel of Rum. Don’t come for lunch because they don’t open till 5 PM. You should stay for dinner and when you do you must have the Peking Duck The best I have ever had east of San Francisco, One of their specialties - classically prepared and presented. Limited availability. Florida's Only Authentic Wood Burning Chinese Ovens Items are hung in there giant Mongolian brick ovens to slow cook, retaining juices and absorbing the delicate flavors of an oak-wood fire. A truly unique taste experience. The Mai-Kai is a destination Restaurant and the Bar experience. Make a special trip just for this unique evening. I know numerous people who fly down from the north just for the evening and the Mai-Kai food and drinks. You will not be disappointed.
 The award winning cuisine includes Cantonese and American dishes from fresh seafood and steaks grilled to perfection, to house specialties like Peking Duck, Rack of Lamb and Lobster Bora Bora. Each Room reflects a different region of Polynesia and overlooks a waterfall or lagoon. Stroll by giant tiki sculptures standing guard over the gardens. The Molokai Bar is a South Seas saloon with over 51 frosty tropical drinks. Live music nightly and never any cover or minimum. Happy Hour every night 5-7 P.M.
The essence of Polynesia comes alive in the songs and dances of the celebrated Islanders Revue. Each year, owner and show choreographer Mireille Thornton creates new interpretations of village life in the South Pacific at the turn of the century. Ms. Thornton's inspiration comes from regular visits to the islands that comprise Polynesia: Tahiti, Aotearoa, New Zealand, Samoa, and Hawaii. Mai-Kai visitors witness Polynesia's rich heritage in dances such as the Hawaiian Wedding song where two young lovers are separated and then reunited in marriage. Or, the spirited Tahitian solo drum dance competition from Polynesia's largest annual cultural celebration, the "Heiva I Tahiti".
