In 1959 I started my apprenticeship in France at Restaurant de la Pyramide in Vienne and completed it at L?Oustau de Baumani?re in Les Baux de Provence, in 1961.

After working in Switzerland and Canada I then went to the Bahamas where I met my wife, Liz, who is your hostess. We moved to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands before finally settling in Vail, where we opened the Left Bank Restaurant on Thanksgiving of 1970
