Pierre Wolfe and Mr. Five Star visited this restaurant May 19, 2006. What an interesting design, 3000 pink roses on the wall, high ceilings, huge wine cellar with dining on the second floor glass enclosed for all to see below. 6 cozy private dining areas for that romantic special touch. This creation is that of veteran San Francisco restaurant legend Chef owner, Hubert Keller. Pierre and I call the cuisine "Designer French", Each course had to be described and translated for us, even Pierre, life time chef had trouble figuring out some of these creations. This fare is definitely no classic French, no Beef Wellington on this menu.

General Manager Tobias Peach greeted us and dazzled us with his wealth of knowledge of the restaurant business. He spoke like a seasoned restaurateur of 50 years and get this he is on 29. Remember you heard his name first here. We also visited the kitchen and met the "chef de cuisine" French born, Baurent Pillard who comes here by way of the Ritz Carlton, Buckhead. This is another shooting star. Check out their web site and see for yourself. Fluer de Lys was definitely a new experience in dining.
