Cherry Creek Grill

cherry_creek_grill_inside1831913p1My first visit to the Cherry Creek Grill was the July 1, 06 during the Cherry Creek Art Festival. Talk about a busy restaurant, this place was hopping, however I am told it wasn’t just the Art Festival, it’s usually busy all the time. I had to sit at the bar as there was a one hour wait for a table. Even though they were very busy the service was excellent. The rotisserie chicken is wonderful. The prices are reasonable. This is a good casual place to eat. Most people were in shorts or casual attire. My first experience was a good one.

Dark-wood paneling, rawhide lampshades and deep-rust booths lend a Western air to this otherwise clubby restaurant. An open floor plan, contemporary lighting and tasteful mix of modern and Native American art complete the look. Walk up two stairs to dining privacy and a good view of the bar scene. American fare with an upscale twist emerges from this kitchen. Warm tortilla chips with three dips (smoked trout, creamy cheddar and jalapeno and guacamole) makes a perfect start. Rotisserie cooking is the big draw, and roasted chicken with garlicky mashed potatoes is worth a special trip. Five beef baby back ribs melt off the bone and in your mouth, but addictive peanut and cilantro-spiked coleslaw nearly steals the show. Lighter option? Make a meal out of the flavorful Macho salad (juicy roasted chicken, half avocados, chunky Montrachet and signature cornbread croutons).”
