Syzygy was founded in June of 1987 by owner, Walt Harris. Executive Chef Martin Oswald joined the operation in 1995, and the team is complemented by Chef de Cuisine Adrian Carpenter and Sommelier Gerald Theron.

The food at Syzygy is considered Modern American. Martin Oswald wants his guests to experience his diverse menu that combines the freshest ingredients and subtle flavors from around the World. The Chef's five course tasting menu is a wonderful way to taste Syzygy's variety of flavors. Signature dishes include Elk Tenderloin, Vintage Beef and Fois Gras. Expand this experience by matching fine wines with each course.

Syzygy has two seperate dining areas, both of which are available for private parties. The front room gas superb views of Aspen Mountain, while the Jazz Room has eight intimate booths, that when paired with our jazz musicians, give the feel of a sophisticated metropolitan jazz club unlike anything else in Aspen. Syzygy welcomes private parties and can accomodate groups of up to 110 guests for use of the entire restaurant. Smaller parties can book either one of the seperate dining areas. In addition, the Jazz Band can be booked any eveing of the week to add that special touch to your event.

 WHILE A LOT OF ATTENTION IS PAID TO SMALL PRODUCERS AND BOUTIQUE WINES SUCH AS BRYANT FAMILY WINERY, ARAUJO & HARLAN ESTATE, WE FEEL IT IS ESSENTIAL TO OFFER MANY AFFORDABLE AND VALUE ORIENTATED WINES.
 WITH 25 WINES BY THE GLASS TO CHOOSE FROM AND OVER 600 SELECTIONS, WE HAVE TREMENDOUS DEPTH IN BORDEAUX, BURGUNDY AND CALIFORNIA. SOMMELIER, GERALD THERON TRAVELS TO AS MANY WINE PRODUCING REGIONS AS POSSIBLE TO NOT ONLY TASTE THE WINES, BUT ALSO TO MEET THE WINEMAKERS AND ESTABLISH LONG LASTING RELATIONSHIPS.
THE HIGHLY TRAINED STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, USING THE STANDARDS SET FORTH BY THE COURT OF MASTER SOMMELIERS. THE SERVICE IS NOT STUFFY HOWEVER, AND OUR AIM IS TO EDUCATE AND HAVE FUN WITH THE CUSTOMERS MAKING THEIR EXPERIENCE AS REWARDING AND ENJOYABLE AS POSSIBLE.
