“Buffalo Bill and the Indians on the Beach”
September 5-14, 2008
San Francisco, CA
Ocean Beach, Great Hwy

Original 1902 photo
Thom Ross will set
display an outdoor installation of 120 life sized
painted sculptures placed in the sand at the Pacific
Ocean depicting a 1902 photograph of Buffalo Bill
Cody's "Indians on the Beach". The location is just
below the Cliff House in San Francisco. This
project is sure to draw not only regional crowds,
but national attention to
Ross and his passion for
portraying the Wild West.

in March 08]

Environmental concerns:
The Cliff House is
very active in diminishing its
environmental impact. Here is
a list of what we do:
-
recycle and compost about 80%
of our refuse.
-
focusing on local and
organic products in our Sutro's dining room
-
exchanging "regular" cleaning products
to biodegradable citrus and/or Soy based products as well as
enzyme products
-
using unbleached and
recycled paper products
-
automatic light
switches and dimmers
-
timers on HVAC
equipment,
-
we are now artificial trans-fat
free
-
Appointed Art Bradley
as the "recycling patrol officer" to enforce participation
in this employee driven program
