After December 11. “All good things must come to an end” says spokesperson for the Food Network, but why? That’s not an answer. I want to know more. Pierre Wolfe and I met Emeril Lagassee at the Julia Child Cook Book awards in 1992. Both Pierre and I liked him from the moment we first met him. Emeril is engaging, looks you straight in the eye when he talks to you. I really wasn’t sure he was cut out for TV when he first started back in 1997. Remember how hunched over he appeared when he first started hi show, boy was I wrong about his TV career!
During our trip in 1992 to New Orleans, Emeril invited Pierre, and I to NOLA one of his restaurants there for a tasting dinner upstairs, what a treat! So what’s the real deal here? Books, cooking gear, restaurants, fame and most likely fortune! Why would Food Network cancel their number one show? Is he to busy running his empire? Are his demands to much for the Food Network? Does he want to bow out at the top of his game? Is all this making too much demand on his daily life? Perhaps the answer will be in his next book? In the mean time we still have the “Essence or Emeril” still in production and I am sure Food Network will keep reheating “Emeril Live” until the next hot Chief rises to the top. Check out Emeril's Bio click here BIO. Here is what the Cleveland Plain Dealer has to say, CPD
