Alpenglow Stube, A must go to Restaurant in Keystone Colorado PDF Print E-mail
Written by Mr Five Star
This Restaurant is a “destination visit” I rarely miss a ski season without visiting this Bastian in the Sky. Food is great, service is excellent, ambiance is fantastic and the adventure getting there is romantic. Just do it! alpenglow1.jpg

Because of the price there are many nay sayers, but trust me Alpenglow is worth every penny, and dollar you will spend. Two people like me, MrFiveStar will spend about $400.00 including the Tasting Menu, a moderate bottle of wine and tip. Total for two people. If that is to much, than don't go. Alpenglow is not just about the food, it is the “entire experience”.

The highest AAA Four-Diamond™ dining experience in North America. Enjoy breathtaking views while traveling in enclosed comfort aboard two gondolas to the top of the North Peak® at 11,444 feet. Award-winning chefs create delicious contemporary cuisine with a Bavarian accent to complement this unique, secluded setting. Arguably the best lunch and dinner in the ski industry.

Please call 800-354-4FUN (4386) for reservations to ensure the restaurant is not closed for a wedding or other engagement. Click here to go to their web site. Alpenglow Stube

Fodor's Review: The competition has heated up in recent years, but Alpenglow Stube remains among the finest mountaintop restaurants in Colorado. The exposed wood beams, a stone fireplace, and floral upholstery make it elegant and cozy. At night, the gondola ride you take to get here alone is worth the cost of the meal. Dinner is a six-course extravaganza, starting with the signature pinecone pâté, followed perhaps by rack of caribou in a pear-liqueur sauce. Lunch is equally delectable, with excellent pasta specials. Remove your ski boots and put on the plush slippers reserved for diners. Keep in mind: Reservations essential.
